Yes, there are shrooms that can grow in dog poop. There are millions of different types of fungus, and mushrooms are a member of the fungus family. Millions of different types of fungus grow on millions of different types of food sources. They are the engineers that create top soil from dead things. They cause decay. Fungus (mold) is what breaks down aerobic (turned so it gets air) compost piles into compost. And cow dung is loaded with nitrogen and cellulose (grass and straw) fibers, the two ingredients needed by those particular types of mushrooms to grow. Heat has nothing to do with it.
